Short description: The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge about the etiological factors, caused clinical signs, necessary or possible additional tests, the final interpretation of the purpose of diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment and prevention of use of equine diseases.
Full description: Causes, symptoms, course, treatment and prevention of internal diseases, infectious diseases, surgery and gynecology and obstetrics in horses. Diagnostic techniques used in horses and other equines.

Learning outcomes: Knowledge: - explain etiologic agents of equine diseases - define clinical signs of equine diseases - know the basic follow-up studies need to confirm or exclude the diagnosis - know disorder treatments horse and its possible course Skills: - perform anamnesis and clinical examination in horse sickness - can provide a list of probable diseases and can propose a list of additional tests are needed to confirm or exclude the disease - perform diagnose in horse based on clinical symptoms and results of laboratory tests - able to offer an adequate course of treatment the disorder Social competences: - it can perform veterinary course of investigations in case of disease in the horse
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: Passing classes: 25% rating of "internal medicine" + 25% rating of "infectious diseases" + 25% rating of "surgery" + 25% rating of "breeding" - the average rating (neccesity to obtain a positive grade in each subject) Passing the exam: 25% rating of "internal medicine" + 25% rating of "infectious diseases" + 25% rating of "surgery" + 25% rating of "breeding" - the average rating (necessity to obtain a positive grade in each subject) The scope of the exam: exercises + lectures.
